Cook Like A Nerd was created by two friends—a data scientist who’s learning web development and a UI/UX designer. After years working together in the same office under some less-than-ideal bosses, they became best friends and decided to combine their skills and passions to create something meaningful.

Bonded by their love for food and a good gossip session, they built this website to solve a common kitchen headache: online recipes with confusing unit conversions. How many times have you found yourself googling, “1 cup of flour equals how many grams?” only to discover you don’t even have a measuring cup handy? Or like when a recipe calls for 3 eggs, but you only have 2—and suddenly you’re stuck scaling every ingredient manually.

Our website offers a suite of kitchen calculators designed to make cooking easier and more enjoyable:
